Nato a Twickenham, Londra, il 5 Ottobre del 1950, Edward Allan Clarke, meglio noto come Fast Eddie Clarke è un chitarrista della scena hard rock / metal conosciuto prevalentemente per il suo ruolo di axeman coi Fastway e coi Motorhead.

La sua esperienza di chitarrista comincia a soli 15 anni passando di band in band, finché nel 1973 divenne professionista entrando nei Curtis Knight's band, coi quali registrò un album appena un anno più tardi intitolato The Second Coming presso gli Olympic Studios. Appena due anni più tardi conobbe il batterista Phil Taylor, che era recentemente entrato nei Motorhead, il quale introdusse il chitarrista a Lemmy, non molto tempo dopo si ritrovò a suonare con la band in cui rimarrà sino al 1982 anno nel quale decise di lasciare la band dopo lo show al New York Palladium tenutosi il 14 Maggio; di qui inizierà a comporre coi suoi Fastway, nei quali milita tuttora. Nel 1994 ha intrapreso una piccola parentesi solista, pubblicando un album intitolato It Ain't Over 'till It's Over.

In passato ha lavorato come guest per Chinchilla (Madtropolis, 2003) e Twisted Sister (Under the Blade, 1982); inoltre ha fatto da produttore per Assassin, Plasmatics e Tank (Filth Hounds of Hades).
