Hi Indigo and thanks to be on The Bible of Metal pages, I'm Alex, nice to meet you! So finally after all this years you're gonna release your debut Karmalion, how does it feel?
Hi Alex, nice to meet you too!
Well, it’s a long time since we started, we know, but both of us think that if you want to give the best of you you must walk, no run, because you can stumble on the road and when you make a recording, it is forever.
How was working with such big special guest as Mark Spiro?
It was great!, Mark is a great artist and he has is own style his own “trade mark” I been working with him in Ca. for my second solo album and we decide to use some songs for Karmalion and leave the rest for a future album.
It was a great experience and now we're good friends and we're still working together.
Could you do a little track-by-track for us?
Sure!
- Karmalion starts with "Crying", it is about an ordinary man in an ordinary day, How he feel or how we feel sometimes, when you have to wake up early in the morning and we fall in the routine.
- “Days of wine and roses” I think is an airy and powerful song at same time and is the first cut with the great Jimi on vocals . Probably the song more engaging for the people.
- “All about you” is a middle-time , I love this song! It was originally recorded for my solo album too and finally we've decided to include this in karmalion
- “Wrong” is magical for me and we think it’s the turning point on Karmalion.
The piano and vocals from Mark are awesome!.
One thing to note is that we have Italian and spanish version of this song and some other ... - “Feel so good”, is a fresh song with plenty of positive energy and where Jimi Strikes again with his great voice.
- “The voice of the wind” is very special for me , it was wrote in a stage of my life when you realize that not everyone wants the best for you, jealous, envy and bad energy will be round you but if you fight... you can always win!
- “Leaving me” is a great song written by Mark with the amazing guitars of Tim Pierce. Nothing better!
- “Moonlight”( Life in your lightness), is the darkest song of karmalion. with the killer guitars of my “partner in crime” Paco Cerezo.
The first "Moonlight" born in 1999 and it was included in my 1º solo album in 2001, very dark versión. A decade later mark made pure magic with this song and turned in a new song, alive!. He’s the master!.
With the "Moonlight" of Karmalion, we're back to the darkness but it's very different of the first one, because it got the magical touch of Paco Cerezo, as in the rest of songs on the album. - "Ride the wave" is another (from our point of view) energizing song. More spiritual than the others. If you ride the wave, the stream can take you to another place, another life, a new begining...
- “Feel no shame” is the last song of the cd but was the first to be known by the people with the video clip. Lyrics are co-written by Mark Spiro.
Is there a song you're more in love with?
Not really, We love all our children equally!
Would you like to leave a message to our readers?
Hope you like “Karmalion” and we hope you can feel with the songs exactly what we want to transmit.
Our gratitude to all of you!.
Grazie Mille Bible of Metal!
