(ENG) HERO OF TODAY: ZODIAC TALKS ABOUT "A HIDING PLACE"

IN SOMETHING LIKE SIX WEEKS THE NEW CHAPTER OF THE ZODIAC DISCOGRAPHY WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU ALL, BUT FIRST HERE WE ARE TALKING WITH THE BAND TO KNOW MUCH BETTER A HIDING PLACE!

- Hi guys and welcome on The Bible of Metal! just one year has passed since your debut album “A Bit Of Devil” and just 2 since your self-titled EP, it seems you’re working very hard, isn't it?
When you love what you are doing, you tend to do it all the time. Zodiac is a working band, we jam as much as possible and stay creative. Good times and a bunch of songs are the result. We always try to stay creative and focused, everybody in the band knows it takes and demands 110%. We are very happy to have made our third recording "A Hiding Place", people out there have been very supportive throughout the band’s short history. We are very thankful for that.

- How will differ “A Hiding Place” from “A Bit Of Devil”?
I think as a band we´ve developed even more confidence. “A Bit Of Devil” gave us a good start, we toured and played with some great bands and got to deliver our blues rock. Of course “A Hiding Place”, being the second album had more weight to be carried... We knew that this record is very important as any second album is. So the whole challenge of making the best Zodiac album possible had a really positive effect on all of us. We are very pleased with the result and hope the people are too! We´ve grown as musicians and bandmates, we wanted to define Zodiac´s tone even more, I think every song reflects that.

- What does “Downtown” talk about?
Well “Downtown” talks about getting out of your everyday 9 to 5 life, getting away of things that bore and imprison you. To be somebody else in a different place...Go Downtown and get lost "where nobody knows your name"...

- Internet changed really much the music business, how do you think about it?
Well the internet connects people all over the world. Music can be enjoyed, consumed and traded very easily. A band nowadays can make a name for itself very independently, but on the other hand there are so many artists and bands. In the past store record sales were higher, in these days the focus is more on the live playing, people tend to buy a record at the gigs. There are good and bad sides to everything but the fact that concerts are visited, people want to be convinced by the band’s live playing is a really good thing. A good homepage is one thing, a good live band that is making handmade music is what it´s all about for me.

- Would you like to leave a message to the readers?
Stay tough and stay alive. Do your thing till you die, that´s what we are doing. Wolves hang with wolves and that´s that!! Come to our shows we will have a blast!!!! We´ll be doing headlining and support shows with some fantasic bands, U.S.A with Monster Magnet!! Cheers,Nick
