Rilasciato nell'ormai lontano 1968, Chariot è il primo - ed unico - album dell'omonima hard rock blues band a stelle e strisce formata da Michael Kaplan (voce, chitarra), Pug Backer (batteria) e Larry Gould (basso, cori).
Siglato un accordo con National General Records, i tre danno vita a questo piccolo capolavoro contenente 9 brani estremamente accattivanti e perfettamente curati, nel guitar work, nelle linee di basso e con un'opener di tutto rispetto che in altre mani avrebbe sicuramente fatto notare maggiormente il disco, Yolanda Jones, egregiamente supportata da altri brani di spessore come la ballata melodica, The War Is Over e brani dal sapore blues decisamente più retrò come Gamblin Man (cover di Lonnie Donegan) e Poor Man Blues.
Decisamente un buon album!
