EVENTS: DESERTFEST BELGIUM @ TRIX MUZIEKCENTRUM - ANTWERP [09.10.2015 ~ 11.10.2015]

DESERTFEST BELGIUM - the ultimate heavy/stoner/psych/doom meeting - is set to happen again in Antwerp this fall! The ceremony will be held at the notorious Trix on the 9-11th of October 2015, and the first batch bands is now announced. Rejoice!

With the mighty Melvins and Fatso Jetson announced as first headliners of this second DESERTFEST BELGIUM edition, no doubt this is yet to be another memorable weekend in Antwerp. Psychonaut, Fever Dog and 3rd Ear Experience are also to join the party, and we will have many more acts announced in the coming months.

According to a recent official announcement, Melvins won't play at the 2015 edition of the Desertfest Belgium. In fact the band was forced to cancel their appearence due to an exclusivity contract for their shows at the 2015 Incubate Festival in Tilburn (Netherland). Desertfest organization offer their sincere apologies demands for fans understanding and support, but in case you reconsider your purchase of an early bird ticket, the organization offer their supporters the chance to demand a refund. Tickets will be refunded until July 27th, to demand a refund send a request at contact@desertfest.be.


However some more bands have been confirmed for the show: Ufomammut, Valient Thorr, Carlton Melton, Causa Sui, Child and Wheel of Smoke.

We are happy to announce that Californian sludge-blues royalty GOATSNAKE have been added to the DESERTFEST ANTWERP 2015 line-up! Additionally, we have confirmations for the touring beast that is DOZER, the face-melting psych of MOON DUO, those fine purveyors of stoner SUNDER and RUBY THE HATCHET, and another slice of Belgian psych with THE PROGERIANS.

The DESERTFEST BELGIUM just confirmed some truly heavy names for its second edition in Antwerp! How about some Southern sludgey goodness with the legendary BONGZILLA and scene mainstays SOURVEIN? In addition to that double team of awesomeness, we are proud to add Sweden's crushing doom meisters MONOLORD, Dutch trance space rockers MONOMYTH and local Antwerp pride TANGLED HORNS to the list. More acts to be announced soon, stay tuned!

European heavy/stoner/doom gathering DESERTFEST BELGIUM has a few more announcements coming this summer, and we're happy to bring four more bands to the 2015 bill today: France's finest heavy psych trio MARS RED SKY, San Diego's cosmic jammers HARSH TOKE, some straightforward rock'n'roll with Eindhoven's BLACK-BONE, and last but not least, German prog noise duo VANDAL X. Antwerp is set to be borne away by a whirl of fuzz-drenched rock and psychedelia in October!

On the other hand, Philly psych act Ruby the Hatchet has been cancelled, who won't be touring Europe this fall due to personal reasons.
