(ENG) HERO OF TODAY: dEMOTIONAL

AFTER HEARING THE BAND'S UPCOMING DEBUT ALBUM STATE: IN DENIAL - WHICH HAS TO BE RELEASED ON MAY 17th, HERE I'M HAVING A LITTLE TALK TO SWEDISH METALLER dEMOTIONAL!

Hi, thank you so much for having us here!

How was born the dEMOTIONAL project?
It all started in the winter of 2009 with the song When She Cries. It was first a music video project but we liked the sound so much that we decided to start a band. At 2011 we had recruited all the band members we needed and our journey truly began :) We are now releasing our first debut album and are touring all over Scandinavia, so we are super excited that things are going so well for us! 

Why have you chosen this monicker?
It was our guitarist Sebastian Fjordevik who came up with the name dEMOTIONAL in the beginning and it just felt right. It´s kind of a wordplay with the word emotion. Cuz after all, music is about creating emotions for the audience. 

Could you tell me more about your When She Cries?
When She Cries was the very first song that we recorded and also the first (of many) music videos we have shot. That song was the beginning to everything that we are today and I can hardly believe that we have come this far in such a short time. When we stood there in the cold woods, shooting our first music video, we´d never dared too believe that we one day would get a record deal and get our music released all over the world.

I know that you have done a video for Alive too, could you tell me more about it?
From the first video we have been working with Kristofer Kiggs Carlsson, who today is our beloved video director. We work very well with him and together we can create the unique style that is dEMOTIONAL. Alive was the 3rd music video we shot and is, if you ask us, truly awesome!  Kiggs has crazy ideas and we love to make videos that are interesting and "go outside of the box" so it´s a perfect match. All of you who haven´t seen it should definitely check it out :)

How have you felt by signin' up with Dead End Exit Records?
It´s mind blowing! Now we have the opportunity to conquer the world as planned! Haha no but seriously, they are really nice people and believe in us for 100% so it feels good to work with them. We believe we will accomplish great stuff.
